The Pilates Method was first developed as a means of rehabilitation in the early 20th Century. Since the turn of the 21st Century, clinicians the world over, have recognised the powerful therapeutic benefits of core stabilisation. Studio Equipment Pilates is an effective method to isolate various joints and muscle groups. At Zest Pilates, we work closely with manual therapists to aid and improve therapy outcomes. If you are recovering from surgery or looking to alleviate pain associated with repetitive strain injuries (RSI), our small quiet studio allows our instructors to focus on your individual needs. Zest Pilates can help with a diverse range of ailments including but not limited to the following:

  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Tennis/golfers elbow
  • Postural correction
  • Low back pain
  • Decreased core control
  • Short hamstrings
  • Disc degeneration

What our clients say

I began Pilates a few years ago when I was looking for a 'gentle' form of exercise to accommodate problems with my lower back, knees and ankles. Weekly semi-private studio sessions have been a great way to build core strength, flexibility and ease of movement, along with some great camaraderie. My ankles are now much stronger and I am back pain-free. We are still working on the knees (although there has definitely been an improvement). I've worked out with people recovering from injuries, those who are strength-training for other sports and some who just enjoy the whole aspect of body control. Pilates is something I would recommend to people of all ages and levels of fitness.
